For young puppies under the age of 5 months, Argos offers a unique Puppy Kindergarten that focuses on starting your puppy off on the path to a lifetime of good behavior. During the puppy phase of a dog’s life is the perfect time to help your puppy develop good habits.
Argos’ Puppy Kindergarten begins with troubleshooting common puppy problems such as house training, play biting, inappropriate chewing and more. Class also focuses on proper socialization to other people and body handling, objects and other dogs.
Argos’ Puppy Kindergarten class meets weekly on Saturdays. Please arrive at 11:50am and running until about 1:00 pm at Boston Red Dog – 274 Southampton St. Boston, MA 02118. Puppies are required to have had their first set of shots before joining class. The cost is $120 for 4 sessions and class is open to all puppies 8 weeks to 13 weeks of age and to some puppies 13 to 20 weeks of age.
I agree with The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviorist recommendation that “In general, puppies can start puppy socialization classes as early as 7-8 weeks of age.” Learn more about the importance of puppy socialization here.
That is why we only require the first rounds of shot and advise that you provide the other rounds of shot as your puppy grows.
